☞ Basic policy of the Editorial Committee of the Japanese Society of Physical Fitness and Sports Medicine (JSPFSM)
The Japanese Society of Physical Fitness and Sports Medicine (JSPFSM) aims to widely disseminate its research findings on health and physical fitness to researchers, educators, instructors, specialists, and anyone interested in the field. By making these achievements publicly accessible, we strive to contribute to the advancement and promotion of public health and physical fitness.
☞ Guidelines for institutional repository deposition of articles published in the Journal of Physical Fitness and Sports Medicine (JPFSM)
Requirements for depositing articles published in JPFSM into other repositories
1) Ensuring consistency between content on J-STAGE and other repositories
Articles published on J-STAGE are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI). Therefore, do not assign a new DOI when depositing the article into other repositories or platforms.
2) Official Version of Record
The official version of record (VoR) recognized by JSPFSM is the printed edition of JPFSM. When depositing an article into other repositories, you must provide the DOI of the electronic version hosted on J-STAGE (which corresponds to the printed version) to ensure proper linking to the official record. Furthermore, any subsequent data corrections or errata must be applied identically across all platforms to maintain data integrity and system synchronization. For example, modifying the text in one repository while leaving the other uncorrected is strictly prohibited.
☞ Reuse of Materials Published in JPFSM
Creative Commons License (CC BY-NC-ND)
Articles and other materials published in JPFSM from Vol. 8, No. 3 (2019) onward fall under the CC BY-NC-ND (Attribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivatives) license. When using or reproducing content under the CC BY-NC-ND license, appropriate credit must be given, including the author name(s), article title, full publication details, and license notice. Furthermore, secondary use is freely permitted without prior contact to the copyright holder, JSPFSM, provided that all three conditions are met: proper attribution, non-commercial use, and no derivatives (no modifications).
Please note, however, that articles published prior to Vol. 8, No. 3 (2019) are not covered by the Creative Commons (CC BY-NC-ND) license, and a different policy applies. For the handling of these earlier publications, please contact the JSPFSM Editorial Office.
